Ethiopia is a beautiful, culturally rich country which faces many devastating challenges.  Over the past few decades, Ethiopia has been ravaged by repeated drought, famine and unimaginable poverty. Add the onslaught of HIV/AIDS into the mix and Ethiopia is left with literally millions of orphaned and vulnerable children.  Although Ethiopia's capital city, Addis Ababa, has seen recent growth, the vast majority of Ethiopians are living on less than $2 a day.  To say there is great need in this developing country is a gross understatement.  And yet, the Ethiopian people are strong and gracious. Its land is gorgeous and its history is important and relevant to every citizen of the world.
